On Nov. 7, 1999, Westerville City leaders broke ground on the extension of Cleveland Avenue north of County Line Road, paving the way for what is now well known throughout the Columbus Region and beyond as the highly successful Westar business district. Twenty-five years later, Westar is home to nearly 10,000 jobs and the headquarters of companies including DHL Supply Chain, Vertiv, Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, and Lancaster Colony/T. Marzetti.
